Enhancing the safety, security and efficiency of I-75 in Southwest Florida

Welcome to the SWIFT SunGuide Center

The SWIFT SunGuide Center serves as the regional transportation management hub for I-75 in Southwest Florida within Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District One. We currently serve Collier and Lee counties and our coverage area will increase as we deploy additional monitoring equipment and message signs north through Charlotte, Sarasota and Manatee counties. We manage the Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) including message signs, cameras, sensors and other tools to enhance the safety, security and efficiency of the interstate system in our region. We also coordinate resources for responding to and managing traffic incidents along the interstate.

Our mission is to enhance the safety, security, and efficiency of Southwest Florida’s transportation system through leading-edge technology and interagency coordination.
